Terminan los ejercicios dejados en clase y copian el siguiente blog.

THERE WAS / THERE WERE


There Was: Había, Hubo.
There Were: Habían, Hubieron

Al igual que en el presente simple usaremos 'There Was' cuando el sustantivo al que acompaña es un sustantivo contable en singular o uno incontable y 'There Were' con los sustantivos contables en plural.

Afirmativas

  4. There was a dog in the park
  5. There was a book in the class
  6. There was a computer in my desk

  9. There were many chairs in my clase
  10. There were helicopters in the sky

  12. There were many phones in the store

Therewas/were es un equivalente a “habían”. Recordemos que
utilizamos Was con: I, She, He, It. Mientras que Were con: You, They, We.

NEGATIVAS

Was +Not: Wasn't

Were + Not: Weren't



THERE WASN'T

- There wasn’t a shop in my
neighborhood.

- No había una tienda en mi barrio.


- There wasn’t a cat in the home of my
Grandmother.

- No había un gato en la casa de mi abuela.

THERE WEREN'T

- There weren’t stores in my neighborhood.

- No habían tiendas en mi barrio.


- There weren’t cats at home of my
Grandmother.

- No habían  gatos en la casa de mi
abuela.

INTERROGATIVAS

A) Was there a bank in the city?
B) Were there many banks in the city?
C) Was there a stadium in the city?
D) Were there two restaurants in the shopping center?
